2025 TagCanyon draw results by species

Alaska has no points; each application in a hunt has the same chance. Sources are ADF&G.

If you drew: plan it

  1. Claim or pay first. Read your hunt’s conditions in the Draw Hunt Supplement. Some nonresident hunts need a guide or a guide-client contract. Gear packs when you know the species: moose, caribou, brown bear, black bear, Dall sheep, mountain goat.
  2. Read the hunt rules. Your unit or area regulations, legal weapon, dates and any mandatory check or report are on the ADF&G site and your license. Only ADF&G is official.
  3. Put the hunt on the calendar. Block the season dates, then work backward: scouting trips, travel, lodging and time off.
  4. Get the gear sorted. Start with the one piece below, then the full gear guides.

If you missed: catch the next window

  1. No points to bank. ADF&G awards drawing hunts by lottery, so there are no points to bank. Application fees are not refunded. Apply again Nov 1.
  2. Look for second chances. ADF&G lists Undersubscribed Draw Hunts (a tab on its drawing hunt page). Check there after results post.
  3. Line up next year. 2025 hunt-by-hunt results: moose, caribou, brown bear, black bear, Dall sheep, mountain goat. Apply window and guide rules: Alaska draw hub. Before you apply: Alaska before-you-apply. Full calendar: draw deadlines.

The four words on results day

Drawn (successful)
You won a tag or permit. Most agencies make you pay or claim it by a deadline, or you lose it.
Unsuccessful
You did not draw. In point states this usually earns you a point for next year. Your fee rules depend on the state.
Leftover
Tags nobody drew or claimed. States sell or redraw them later. Points usually do not apply to them.
