Choose gloves around your activity, weather and hand fit. Lightweight coverage helps on warm approaches; wind-resistant layers suit changing conditions; waterproof insulation and mitts earn their place during cold, wet or stationary hunts.

How To Choose Hunting Gloves
- Start with the job: stalking, handling calls, glassing and sitting place different demands on dexterity and warmth.
- Separate water resistance from waterproofing: a DWR finish can shed brief moisture but is not the same as a waterproof membrane.
- Match the cut: women's Traverse is a women's model; the KUIU Northstar listing is explicitly unisex. Other men's or adult sizes are not automatically women's cuts.
- Plan a two-pair system: carry a dry spare and a warmer outer option when conditions demand it.
- Check availability: KUIU configurations marked Out Of Stock have no current Amazon offer. Manufacturer reference prices are not available Amazon purchase prices.
Lightweight / Early Season
For warmer, active hunts, choose coverage and feel rather than heavy insulation. Traverse adds light fleece coverage; Equinox Guard focuses on insects and exposed-digit dexterity. Neither replaces a waterproof insulated storm glove.

The men's and adult configurations above range from medium through XX-Large. Use hand circumference and length against the exact model's chart; do not transfer a size blindly between brands. The linked Caller's Glove is a single LEFT glove for a right-handed shooter.
Women's Hunting Glove Fit
SITKA Women's Traverse is a dedicated women's cut. KUIU Northstar and TIDEWE are labeled unisex in the linked listings; use their charts rather than assuming a men's size translates. The selected Northstar is Large and the TIDEWE is XX-Large—neither is presented as a small-hand fit. Select another available size only after checking its price and fit.

Fit, Field Use And Care
Measure Before Choosing A Size
Use the exact model's hand-size chart. Check finger length, palm width and cuff overlap with your jacket. A tight glove can restrict movement; excessive fingertip space can make small controls difficult to operate. Women's and unisex sizing are not interchangeable labels.
Practice Handling Equipment Safely
Test your binoculars, zippers and pack buckles with the gloves on. Practice firearm handling only with the firearm unloaded, pointed in a safe direction and your finger outside the trigger guard. If a glove compromises safe control, change the setup before the hunt.
Keep A Dry Pair Ready
Dry gloves according to the care label and avoid direct high heat. Recharge heated-glove batteries before leaving, follow the battery-care instructions and protect electrical connections from moisture.
