Where each one leans
- onX Hunt Elite: land ownership and mapping are the core, and draw research comes bundled with it. It also lists cheaper maps-only Premium plans.
- GOHUNT Insider: draw odds, hunt filtering and unit profiles are the core, with maps included. Insider+ is for hunters who want the GOHUNT team to handle applications and consult on strategy.
- Both: maps for all 50 states and a draw odds tool. Many applicants pick one based on whether maps or unit research matters more to them.
Where TagCanyon’s free odds fit
- Free, no account, no app: resident and nonresident odds at each point level for Colorado, Wyoming and Montana elk, deer and pronghorn, and Texas drawn hunts, from CPW, WGFD, FWP and TPWD reports.
- The What can I draw with my points? tool, a labeled next-year point-creep estimate, and draw deadlines.
- No maps, no unit profiles, no application service, and four states only. For those, the paid apps do more.
Want the wider field? TagCanyon vs GOHUNT, onX, HuntScore and Huntin’ Fool. State odds: Colorado, Wyoming, Montana, Texas.
